Missing since: February 4, 2024
Last known location: Village of Vernon, Waukesha County, Wisconsin — around Maple Avenue and Center Drive.

Main circumstances: Isaiah, then 16, walked away from a residential treatment facility without medication he required. He was captured on a trail camera in the area that night. A reported possible sighting early February 5 was investigated but has not been established publicly as a confirmed sighting. Months later, headphones found in nearby woods were linked to Isaiah through DNA testing. Extensive searches have not located him.

Current status: Missing. Isaiah is now 19. The Wisconsin Clearinghouse and NCMEC continue to carry his case, and the latest substantial reporting I located, from June 2, 2026, still described him as missing.

Isaiah Marley Cramer Missing in Wisconsin: What Happened and Where the Investigation Stands

Isaiah Marley Cramer was 16 years old when he disappeared from the Village of Vernon in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, on February 4, 2024. More than two years later, his whereabouts remain unknown.

Isaiah was staying at the Norris Center, a residential treatment facility in the Vernon/Mukwonago area, when he walked away. Authorities said there was no indication at the time that he had been forced to leave against his will. What made his disappearance especially urgent was that Isaiah left without medication he required daily.

Last Seen: February 4, 2024 — Village of Vernon, Wisconsin

Isaiah was last seen on the evening of February 4, 2024, around Maple Avenue and Center Drive in the Village of Vernon. He was subsequently captured on a trail camera in the area that night. Later reporting has stated there have been no confirmed sightings of Isaiah since that trail-camera image.

At the time, authorities described Isaiah as approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 200 pounds. He was wearing dark-colored sweatpants and a dark hooded sweatshirt. Other missing-person records describe the sweatshirt as dark green and list green jogging pants and black gloves.

The Wisconsin Clearinghouse currently lists Isaiah as missing from Mukwonago, with his last known location identified as the Village of Vernon.

The Search for Isaiah Cramer Begins

In the days following Isaiah’s disappearance, the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office coordinated extensive searches involving law enforcement, firefighters and other emergency personnel. Residents were asked to inspect outbuildings and review home-security footage for anything that might show Isaiah’s movements.

Initial searches concentrated heavily on the area surrounding where Isaiah disappeared. The terrain presented significant challenges. The area surrounding the treatment facility includes woods, fields, wetlands and swampy ground.

Isaiah had reportedly walked away before but returned within hours. This time, he did not return. The Wisconsin Clearinghouse says his family and law enforcement remain concerned for his safety.

Possible February 5 Sighting Expands the Search

Investigators received an important tip on February 19, 2024. Someone reported that Isaiah may have been seen near Edgewood Avenue and Center Drive during the early morning hours of February 5.

The report was treated seriously enough for authorities to expand their search northward. Investigators used additional personnel, aerial drones, K-9 teams and surveillance video from area businesses while continuing interviews and working with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Tips also came from locations well outside Vernon, reportedly ranging from northern Illinois to Manitowoc, Wisconsin. None of the publicly reported tips produced a confirmed location for Isaiah.

Large-Scale Searches Continue

Isaiah’s family and community members continued searching as the months passed.

In June 2024, EquuSearch Midwest joined the effort for a large-scale search near the area where Isaiah disappeared. Search organizers planned to cover approximately three to four miles of difficult terrain using volunteers, drones and horses.

Another large-scale search was conducted in Vernon on October 12, 2024. Despite repeated searches of the area, Isaiah was not located.

Isaiah’s Headphones Found in the Woods

One of the most significant pieces of physical evidence emerged months after Isaiah vanished.

In August 2024, authorities confirmed that headphones discovered in woods near the Norris facility belonged to Isaiah. DNA testing was used to connect the headphones to him.

The discovery provided physical evidence associated with Isaiah in the wooded area but did not establish what happened to him afterward. Publicly available law-enforcement information has not identified the headphones as evidence of a crime.

No publicly confirmed evidence found since then has established Isaiah’s present location.

One Year Missing: Investigation Continues Nationwide

On February 4, 2025, exactly one year after Isaiah disappeared, the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office announced that investigators were continuing to follow leads.

The Sheriff’s Office said it had continued working with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to expand distribution of Isaiah’s information nationwide. Authorities also thanked members of the public for tips received throughout the first year.

Isaiah’s parents continued searching as well, saying they were determined to find out what happened to their son.

More Than Two Years Later: Isaiah Cramer Remains Missing

The most recent substantial news coverage located for this article was published by CBS 58 on June 2, 2026, Isaiah’s 19th birthday.

His family gathered in Okauchee to mark the occasion and continue drawing attention to his disappearance. The report stated that Isaiah remained missing more than two years after he disappeared. It also reported that the headphones found in the woods remained the physical item police had publicly identified in connection with the search.

Isaiah’s mother, Kim Cramer, expressed her personal belief that her son may no longer be alive and said the family wants evidence that could provide closure. That is a family member’s belief, not an official determination that Isaiah is deceased.

As of the latest information reviewed for this article, the Wisconsin Clearinghouse continues to list Isaiah as a missing person. NCMEC also maintains an active missing-child page for him.

What Happened to Isaiah Marley Cramer?

The central question remains unanswered.

The established public record shows that Isaiah walked away from a residential facility on February 4, 2024, without medication he needed; he was captured by a trail camera in the surrounding area that night; a possible sighting the following morning prompted an expanded search; and headphones later confirmed through DNA testing as belonging to Isaiah were recovered in nearby woods.

Extensive searches involving law enforcement, volunteers, K-9 teams, drones, horses and EquuSearch Midwest have not publicly produced an answer about what happened after Isaiah entered the area surrounding the facility.

There has been no publicly announced arrest, suspect or confirmed homicide finding in Isaiah’s disappearance in the sources reviewed for this article.

Isaiah Marley Cramer remains missing, and authorities continue to request information from anyone who may know what happened to him.
