On June 13, 1977, three young campers — Lori Lee Farmer (8), Michele Heather Guse (9), and Doris Denise Milner (10) — were brutally raped and murdered at Camp Scott in Mayes County, Oklahoma. The case became one of the most notorious and long-running unsolved child murder mysteries in U.S. history.

The girls had arrived for summer camp the evening before and were asleep in a tent when the attack occurred. Lori Farmer was attending her first overnight camp when the horrific crime happened, shocking families locally and nationwide.
