🕯 What happened & last confirmed whereabouts

– Sara Ebersole, 28, was reported missing after last being seen on March 2–3, 2023 in Reddick, Marion County, Florida.
– She was seen at a 24-hour convenience store and then taken to a residence along U.S. Highway 441.
– Shortly after midnight, she left that location with a man named Tyrone Morman, who is now considered a person of interest.

🧩 Investigation status

– Despite extensive ongoing searches, billboards, community awareness efforts, and volunteer searches, no confirmed sightings of Sara have been made since her disappearance.
– The Marion County Sheriff’s Office continues to ask the public for any information that might help locate her.

🎯 Person of interest

– Tyrone Morman, 28, has been publicly identified by law enforcement as a person of interest because investigators believe he was the last known person to be with Sara the night she vanished.
– Morman was arrested in late 2023 for providing false information to law enforcement in connection with her disappearance; he was released on bond and refuses to cooperate further with investigators.

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – It’s been nearly three years since Sara Ebersole, 28, went missing. Now, an anonymous donor is offering a $35,000 reward for tips that lead to her whereabouts – an increase from $4,000 last year. 

The backstory:

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Ebersole was last seen at a 24-hr convenience store in NW Marion County with Tyrone Mormon in the early hours of March 3, 2023.

Authorities used time-stamp photos and information on Ebersole’s iCloud to establish her last known whereabouts.  Authorities say Mormon is the sole person of interest in this case. Investigators said Mormon lied about being with Ebersole that night and refused to give up his phone. He told investigators he had broken it and thrown it away, the sheriff’s office said.
