The discussion concerns unidentified partial skeletal remains of an adult woman recovered near the Wolf River in Shawano, Wisconsin, on February 23, 1969. The unidentified-person case is listed as NamUs UP160968, with medical examiner/coroner case reference P24-04119. According to the discussion, the NamUs unidentified-person record was created July 23, 2026.

A Websleuths member noted that Green Bay is relatively close to Shawano and publicly stated that they submitted Mildred Stiller as a possible match for those remains. The poster also said they did not see Mildred listed among publicly visible exclusions at that time.

This does not mean investigators have determined the remains belong to Mildred. A possible-match submission from a member of the public is only a suggestion for authorities or NamUs personnel to evaluate. I found no publicly released DNA result, forensic comparison, exclusion, identification, or Green Bay Police announcement linking Mildred to UP160968 as of September 2026.

Still, because the remains are female, were found in northeastern Wisconsin, and were entered into NamUs decades after their discovery, the submission represents one of the newest publicly documented efforts to compare Mildred’s case with unidentified remains.
