Angela Jane Foxglove vanished from the Northwest Arctic village of Selawik, Alaska, on May 24, 2007, leaving behind one of the region’s longest-running unsolved missing person cases. According to the information released by investigators, Angela told others of her plans before disappearing. She never reached Noorvik, and family members soon realized something was wrong when she failed to return or make contact.

As the investigation unfolded, Alaska State Troopers entered her case into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs), where it remains listed as an active missing person case under NamUs MP67135. In 2022, Alaska’s newly created Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons investigator, retired Alaska State Trooper Anne Sears, publicly identified Angela Foxglove’s disappearance as one of the cold cases she intended to re-examine. Sears noted that she had previously received numerous calls from Angela’s family while serving as a trooper in Kotzebue and hoped a fresh review could uncover overlooked investigative opportunities.
